Scope and Content

Correspondence from various people, companies and organizations and other papers. The letters relate to a wide variety of topics such as contributions to the Lilian Baylis Memorial Fund/Vic Wells Completion Fund, hiring of the theatre, a request for reduced price tickets, and programmes sent to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Other papers include invoices and receipts.

The file contains mainly correspondence received and sent by Edward Holbrook (Acting Manager) and Sir Reginald Rowe. Some of the correspondents include: R. D’Oyly Carte, John Lowther on behalf of the Duke of Kent, Herbert Menges.
