Original artwork for 'Mrs Cockle's Cat' by Philippa Pearce, first published in 1961. The series consists of two files, one containing original artwork relating to the first edition of the book, for which Maitland won the Kate Greenaway award in 1961, and the other relating to the revised paperback edition, published with entirely new illustrations in 1987.
