Scope and Content

Sub-Committee 'B' was concerned with dust in the cardrooms, which was a cause of the industrial disease, byssinosis. The sub-committee investigated the control and removal of cotton dust by improving ventilation machinery. The file consists of committee minutes, memoranda, reports and correspondence, together with copies of the second and third interim reports and the final report of the Committee (1961).
