Administrative / Biographical History

Manufacturing, Science, Finance was formed in 1988 by the merger of the Association of Scientific, Technical and Managerial Staffs and the Technical, Administrative and Supervisory Section, both of which had themselves grown by the accretion of smaller unions.

Arrangement

The collection is divided into the records of Manufacturing, Science, Finance and its predecessor unions. The predecessor unions comprise ASTMS, TASS and its predecessors DATA and AESD, and various unions which amalgamated with TASS. See Scope and content for a list of these unions.

Conditions Governing Access

The depositor's permission is required before access can be given to these papers. Please contact the Centre for further details. All of the papers are closed for ten years. In addition, some of the papers are closed for twenty years.
