Administrative / Biographical History

Janet McGregor was born in Motherwell on  24 May 1903  . Her father Donald McGregor was a secretary. She attended the  University of Glasgow from  1924-1927  , taking classes in French (Ordinary) and History (Ordinary) in her first year; English (Ordinary), French (Higher) and Logic and Metaphysics (Ordinary) in her second, and Italian (Ordinary) and Geology (Ordinary) in her third and final year. She graduated with an MA in  November 1927  and subsequently became a teacher in North Lanarkshire. She died in Hamilton on  19 April 1981  .
