BOOK (M.S.) purporting to contain accounts of the receipts and disbursements of Mr. Sergeant Owen's estate.
The book presumably belonged to Hugh Williams as the accounts are signed by him. The book also contains a copy of a court judgement dated 1614 concerning a dispute between Edward Herbert, Kt., plaintiff, and Peter Griffith, Esq., defendant, concerning the manor of Penryhyn. The cover of the book has been made from a document dated 1567. A note on the cover reads "About Sergeant Owens and the Almshouse at Penmynyth and the payment of my grandmother's legacies and Sergeant Owens to his poor Kindred. "
