Letter: R. Williams Bulkeley, Baron Hill, to James

Scope and Content

LETTER: R. Williams Bulkeley, Baron Hill, to James, assuring him that no blame can be attached to him; the payments were never more than 11 weeks in arrears. He writes that Mostyn's affairs are in a lamentable state and his liabilities are said to be enormous. However his son will soon be of age and he expects an improvement then. He says he will be happy to meet him so they can concoct a scheme that will put the Penmynydd almshouse more in accordance with the directions of the founder. See also no. 272.
