ACCOUNT BOOK: Penmynydd Almshouse.
The book was first kept by Col. Wm. Peacock and then by James Williams.
A note at the beginning of the book explains that he took the management of the almshouse out of the hands of Mr. Hughes of Plas Penmynydd in July 1815 as Mr. Hughes had defaulted over a payment of £30. He died a bankrupt the following month. He was unable to get any money from his estate.
