Early issues state that Technowledge was published by the Faculty of Technology Union [the Students Union]. Although intended as a bi-monthly publication, the actual frequency was variable. These issues contained reports from student societies, general announcements, letters and other student contributions and were illustrated by line drawings. From 1957-8 the volumes were numbered and issues were professionally printed; black and white photos occasionally included, as well as articles contributed by members of teaching staff.
