Biologists generally maintain that the human intestines are of a length adapted to a mixed diet, not exclusively carnivorous or herbivorous; vegetarianism suits some very well, and more could perhaps be trained to it if they begin young; it is abominable to put diseased meat on the market, although the temptation to do so must be considerable
