[…] Robinson revolutionised gardening; she knew Mrs Rowan Hamilton, who was interested in the College and in White; the world seems empty of friends, which is the natural experience of old age; she asks if Robinson could pay them a visit, as they have been developing there and she would like to show him how, ‘in the gardening line’; she sends kind remembrances to Miss Gilpin [Mary Gilpin]
