From Myra Schneider (b 1936), English poet and writer, relating to: Lindop's poem 'Summer Pudding', and a poem she has written about midsummer which includes a section about summer pudding; her thoughts on Sidney Keyes' poem 'The Bards', sent to her by Lindop; Lindop's Literary guide to the Lake District; the acceptance of her book, Exits, by Enitharmon in 1993, and Lindop's agreement to write something for the back cover of the collection; her work on a new long narrative poem with a modern fictional narrative in 1995; her receipt of second prize in the Sheffield Thursday competition for her long poem 'The Waving Woman' in 1996; an invitation to read at the Festival Hall, and an interview she has given for Woman's hour in 1995; her work on a handbook, Writing for self discovery, with John Killick; Schneider's thoughts on Lindop's long poem about the Buddha; the work of Mark Doty; the planned publication of her poetry collection, The Panic Bird, by Enitharmon in 1998; her reading of Anne Cluysenaar and Jeremy Hooker in 1997; and her submission of some poems to the Temenos Academy Review in 1998.

The file includes a number of typescript poems by Schneider, as follows: 'Steve', an extract from a long poem, enclosed in /5; further extracts from her long poem, provisionally titled 'A Handful of Murders' (/8); and 'The Panic Bird' (/10).
