Jane Robinson was Foundation Professor of Nursing at the University of Nottingham, 1989-1997, and developed the new Department of Nursing Studies at the University. From 1985 to 1989 she was Director of the Nursing Policy Studies Centre at the University of Warwick. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing (1994). Between 1985 and 1997 she also worked as a Temporary Advisor to the World Health Organisation.
