Administrative / Biographical History
The WSA was established in 1970 by the WPWU as a separate organisation specifically for those employees in the wallpaper industry whose work was of a clerical nature. However, the WSA failed to make an impact and transferred its engagements in 1975 to the Wallpaper Workers' Union, which then retitled itself National Union of Wallcoverings and Allied Trades.
