W.J. Ellis[s] appears to have had a strong connection with the North Wales Coast and the Lleyn Peninsular. He was at one time an hotelier and ran the Ship Inn at Aberdaron. He had a great interest in the Hotel and Tourist Trade and collected a wide range of ephemera relating to it, especially for Llandudno.
