Correspondents include Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (later Edward VII), 10 January 1873; the Duke of Cambridge, 1872; the Duke of Edinburgh, 21 February 1879 and Princess Louise; Hamilton Aid; Matthew Arnold; H.H.Asquith; E.F.Benson; Rhoda Broughton; Josephine Butler; Dr Creighton, Bishop of London; F.W.Farrar, Archdeacon of Westminster; Sir Arthur Helps; Ellice Hopkins; Lord Rosebery; and G.W.E.Russell; with a copy of E.C.Wickham Perfect peace (London, 1891), the sermon preached at Hawarden on the Sunday after the funeral of W.H.Gladstone.
