Scope and Content

From William Cooke. Topics covered include: Samuel Egerton's financial and property affairs; the financial affairs of the Revell family [Miss Jane Revell lived with the Egertons at Tatton for a time during the 1750s, and Cooke refers to a Mr and Mrs Revell who may have been her parents], including the marriage of Mrs Revell to Mr Webbe, a chemist, who is her social inferior. The Webbes also seem to be at odds with the Warren family, into which Jane Revell married.
