The East Sutton Estate, Kent, belonged to the Filmer family. In 1916, on the death of the last Filmer baronet, the estate passed to Arthur Wilson Filmer. It remained in his possession until 1939 when it was requisitioned by the army. Following the Second World War the park was sold and the house became a borstal; as of 2016 it is a women's open prison.
