Ebbw Vale Lodge was a branch of the National Union of Mineworkers (South Wales Area).
The Ebbw Vale Lodge represented the South Wales and Monmouthshire Colliery Examiners, Shotfirers and Overmans Association which was later to become The National Association of Colliery Overmen, Deputiesand Shotfirers (NACODS). It is also referred to as the Ebbw Vale Colliery, Examiners, Shotfirers and Overmans Association in some of the records. The Association represents several collieries in the area.
