Specimens are enclosed in the cover of ‘The Cambridge Bulletin’, 1928, labelled in Bowles’ hand ‘Cycl [scored through] & various’. Inside this cover specimens are placed between pages of minutes of the John Innes Horticultural Institution, 1926, a seed exchange list from the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Ireland, 1928, and an antiquarian book catalogue, 1943. Pages are annotated with details of specimens
