Correspondence from W.R. Dykes to E.A. Bowles mainly relating to Iris

Scope and Content

Includes a list of plants headed ‘Newlands, Jul 1916’ and ‘Loppio’, and a letter, 7 Feb 1913, in which Dykes criticises the RHS for allowing wrongly-named plants to be exhibited, and for propagating common plants instead of tackling the more intricate genera of which the nomenclature was in confusion.
