Scope and Content

Original artwork by Ursula Moray Williams to illustrate her story 'The Silver Horse'. Illustration in red poster paint with watercolour and India ink detail, showing the boy riding one of the hobby horses out of the workshop, leading the other five. The open workshop door has been cut out, designed to show through to the yellow colour of the next illustration, suggesting a candle-lit glow. The illustration is initialled 'UMW', surface-mounted on thin card and wrapped in cellophane. A pencil annotation in the top left corner identifies the illustration as number '9'. The reverse of the illustration is unmarked.
