Card indexes

Scope and Content

Six drawers and nine boxes of index cards to patients. Within each box, the cards are arranged alphabetically by patient name. The cards give the following information: reference code, patient name, age and address, diagnosis, and sometimes additional information about admission and operation dates, referring doctor etc. For the period 1954 to 1957 there are two sets of index cards for each year in different boxes, each covering different patients, but it is not evident what distinguishes these is. Items /8 and /10 appear to be outside the main sequence, they may refer to private patients.
