One file of correspondence and one file of memoranda related to Platt's consultancy work for the Ministry of Health. After the end of the second world war, Platt continued to act as an honorary consultant, until he retired in 1963. In 1950, Platt was given a Distinction Award, which entitled him to higher remuneration at hospitals. These files provide information about Platt's appointments with the Ministry of Health and National Service, and Platt's views on the development of the NHS and hospital planning.
