David Morgan was born in Morriston in 1890, the son of Morgan and Margaret Phillips. He had two younger brothers and a sister. David Morgan worked in the Upper Forest & Worcester Works as a Tin Plate Liner and responded to the Mayors call for volunteers by joining the 14th Battalion, Welsh Regiment in 1915.He died on 27 August 1918 and was originally buried at Lone Ridge Cemetery and moved on 31 March 1920 to Delville Wood Cemetery, Longuevol.
