Working files, reports, press cuttings, personal papers, scrapbooks, slides, photographs, articles and conference papers of Peter Brinson, former Head of Postgraduate Studies at Laban; with a record of the activities of the pioneering touring company Ballet for All which took ballet out into the local communites of the UK.

The Peter Brinson Collection documents the professional life of Peter Brinson (1923-1995), pioneer in the field of community dance; dance administrator; writer; lecturer; Founding Director, Ballet for All 1964-1972; Director, Royal Academy of Dancing 1968-69; Director, UK and British Commonwealth Branch, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation 1972-82; Chairman, Inquiry into Dance and Education 1975-1980; Chairman, Dance Board, Council for National Academic Awards 1975-84, Head of Postgraduate Studies, Laban Centre for Movement and Dance,1982.
