The secretary of Cymdeithas Ryddfrydig Dyffryn Nantlle (Dyffryn Nantlle Liberal Society) between 1886 and 1894 was W. W. Williams of Llanllyfni. The president was Rev. R. Thomas, Llanllyfni. Persons from Pen-y-groes, Tal-y-sarn, Llanllyfni, Llandwrog, Nebo and Clynnog, Caernarfonshire were amongst the members of the society.
