American poet, friend of Edward, encouraged him to write poetry.

Edward's reviews of Frost's work contributed significantly to Frost's success in the UK and later in America.

Frost's wife Elinor stayed in touch with Helen Thomas after Edward's death. Helen fell out of favour with Frost after publishing details of her private life with Edward in her autobiography 'As It Was' (1926)
