Nevinson, Henry Woodd, (1856-1941)

Influential essayist and literary journalist and editor. Literary editor of the Daily Chronicle from 1899-1903. Accepted the majority of Edward Thomas' book reviews, which provided the Thomases with a small but steady income during his period of editorship. Helen Thomas describes him in her autobiography 'World Without End' (1931) as 'our friend and benefactor'
