Administrative / Biographical History

Farms in the parishes of Llanishen and Llangofan, Monmouthshire, were held by Thomas Phillpot of Monmouth, glover, until 1704 when they passed to his children, Thomas, Anne, Mary and Jane Phillpot. Land in the parishes were also held by the Blower family and the Ffortune family during the early 18th century.
