Papers relating to the opening of the new Medical School in 1973. A new Medical School was built between 1969-1973 in the south-eastern section of the campus, between Oxford Road and Upper Brook St. The Medical School was officially opened by Lord Todd in September 1973, and is usually known as the Stopford Building. An honorary degree ceremony for distinguished medics and scientists was held as part of the ceremony. Includes the Commemorative plant and Stopford Medical Research fund prospectus,which was launched at the event.
