Scope and Content

The Precinct Centre was a complex of University offices, shops and student accommodation at the northern end of campus. It was a major component of the University's Education Precinct project and opened in the late 1960s.A committee continued to oversee the Precinct until the 1990s

The file includes minutes of this committee,; a report on refurbishing the Centre, (1987), legal case (185 between the University and architects Hugh Wilson and Lewis Womersley and other contractors (a dispute over re-tiling the building) and other building defects.
