Scope and Content

The file primarily contains applications to use sites on University campus for broadcasting purposes. Other topics include a proposed Centre of Studies in Broadcasting and Journalism (which was not taken forward); University appointments to the educational advisory panel for BBC Radio Manchester; radio courses by the Department of Extra-Mural Studies; and the Vice-Chancellor's membership of the 51 Society, a BBC-run group whose members discussed topics of current importance, with some of these discussions being broadcast on radio.
