- Memorandum: "Civil and mechanical engineering in the Faculty of Science" (1955) proposing a new engineering building [the Simon Engineering building opened in the early 1960s].
- Paper by Professor D M McDowell, "School curriculum reform, recruitment and entry to engineering courses" (1968), includes correspondence related to proposals to change sixth-form curriculum.
