From Louis Charles Casartelli [Bishop of Salford]:

  • /1 19 May 1908 asks if Professor [Hope] Hogg [professor of Semitic languages and literature] could be an official delegate of the University at the congress to be held at Copenhagen, refers to personal arrangements;
  • /2 from Joseph Lomax, Casartelli's secretary, 10 Feb. 1909 re. lecture arrangements, also refers to a tutor at Stonyhurst College, who intends to apply for a post of lecturer in Sanskrit at the University;
  • /3 11 May 1909 has presented the address to University of Louvain during their jubilee celebration, and has received honorary doctorate of divinity from Louvain.
