The Incubator Building opened in 1999 providing facilities for biotechnology research and development, and start-up assistance for bioscience firms. It was run by Manchester Biotech in association with the University of Manchester. The file includes a commemorative brochure issued for the opening, which took place on 17 September 1999, by Richard Caborn MP, minister of state for trade, DTI.
