Correspondence and papers relating to the visit of Dr Edward Benes, President of the Czechoslovak Republic to the University to deliver a lecture 'What would be a Good Peace?' on 5 December 1942. Most of the correspondence concerns preparations for the visit, with some from Benes including a letter dated 22 February 1945 to Sir John Stopford thanking the University for hosting the lecture, and makes comments about possible exchange of students between foreign universities once war is over.
