Papers relating to the Fielden Demonstration School. The school had been established by the University in the early twentieth century, and from 1908, was based in Victoria Park, Manchester. It aimed to provide an arena where educational theories could be tested in practice by University educationists and teachers. The school closed in 1926 and its buildings were sold to Hulme Hall. The School was administered by a Trust comprising the vice-chancellor and various University academics. Although most of the papers in this file concern the closure of the school and the sale of the buildings, there are reports and correspondence relating to the work of the school.
