Broomcroft Hall was the former residence of Lord (Ernest) Simon of Wythenshawe and his wife, Lady (Shena) Simon, located in Didsbury, south Manchester. In the 1940s Simon expressed his intention to leave his residence in trust for the University's use after his death. Following Lord Simon's death in 1960, the Hall became a residence for Simon Research Fellows and other visiting scholars. It is now the official residence of the University's President and Vice-Chancellor.
