Administrative / Biographical History

The Life Association of Scotland was an insurance company started in the nineteenth century and was taken over in 1993 and closed to new business in 1997. In 1999, the company was bought by Britannic Assurance and renamed Alba, and in 2006 Alba Life Ltd policies moved to Phoenix Life Ltd which continues to administer Life Association of Scotland policies.
