WARDINGTON PARISH RECORDS

Scope and Content

Wardington is a village in the north of the county, not far from Banbury. In 1979, it was united with the parishes of Cropredy and Great Bourton. These have now been joined by Claydon and

Mollington.

Most of the parish records of Wardington were deposited with the Bodleian Library in 1971. In 1980 PAR276/1/R3/3 and PAR276/1/R7/10-11 were also deposited there, and in 1984 all these records were transferred to Oxfordshire Archives. Further records have been deposited as Acc 3707 in October 1993, Acc 4156 in October 1996, Acc 4282 in October 1997 and Acc 6097 in July 2012. A concordance at the end of the catalogue lists old and new references.

Catalogued by Robin Darwall-Smith in October 1997 with additions by Alison Smith in July 2014.
