Scope and Content

Release between:

(1) Thomas Smith of Smithfould in the County of Lancaster, gent.

(2) Roger Kenyon citizen and distiller of London

(3a) George Kenyon the elder of Kersall [Kersal], gent., and (3b) Thomas Kenyon of Kersal, gent., son of the above George Kenyon

Consideration: £640, paid to (1). Property: a capital messuage and tenement in Kersal, now or late in the occupation of (3a) and (3b), released by (1) to the use of (2).

Signatures on turn-up: Thomas Smith George Kenyon Thomas Kenyon. Endorsed. Three parchment tags; 2 partial seals remaining.

Attached to the release are the following four deeds: lease between the above-mentioned parties, 12 September 1673; a fine levied at Lancaster between Thomas Brook, William Smith and (2) above, and a final concord, both dated Saturday 4 April 1673; quitclaim, from William Kenyon to to Roger Kenyon, 15 September 1673.
