Administrative / Biographical History

Paul Duncan Fletcher MBE (fl 1916-1961) worked as Political Officer, Aden Protectoratefrom 1940, Seconded Education Officer, 1944-1946, and Deputy British Agent, EastAden Protectorate from 1949. In 1950 he took the post of Administrative Officer (Seconded), Nigeria. In 1952 he returned to Aden as Assistant Chief Secretary, and was made Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Northern Nigeria in 1955.He served as Famine Relief Commissioner, East Aden Protectorate from 1949.
