Administrative / Biographical History

The South West Wales Industrial Archaeological Society was established at some time before the 1960s. It is intended for members who are interested in the industrial history of the West Glamorgan area. The Society remains active, and has a varied programme of lectures throughout the year, with occasional visits to sites of interest. It has also been involved in collaborative efforts recording and sometimes even preserving the archaeology of a number of sites in the area.
