Nora Ridehalgh graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester in 1927. She was a former assistant MOH for the boroughs of Preston and Burnley. She published cartoons and caricatures in Manchester University Medical Students Gazette under the pen-name 'Licet' during the mid-1920s.
