Administrative documents

Miscellaneous files and correspondence relating to the running of the Society from foundation to the 1970s. Much of the 19th century correspondence concerns the Society's relationship with its various 'landlords' (Royal Manchester Institution, Owens College). Twentieth century material includes files relating to the administration and transfer of the Medical Library to the University of Manchester, and there are several files on the amalgamation of the MMS and kindred societies in 1950.
