This series contains 4 addresses made by members of the Bolton Whitman Fellowship - one by J.W. Wallace, and 3 about Wallace and his life. Includes: a copy of 'The "Calamus" poems in Leaves of Grass', an address given in Bolton on Whitman's birthday, 31 May 1920, by J.W. Wallace, inscribed to Mrs Pimblett [widow of Will Pimblett of the Bolton group] by F[red] N[ightingale, another member] (5/1); 'An Old Friend', an address in memory of J.W. Wallace, given at the men's class, Bank Street School, Bolton, by Wentworth Dixon on 7 Feb 1926 (5/2); a copy of an address in memory of J.W. Wallace, Wentworth Dixon and Dr J. Johnston given by William Broadhurst on 6 Dec 1930 (5/3); and a letter to Sixsmith from Alan T. Ormrod, enclosing a copy of a sketch of the life of J.W. Wallace by Fred Wild, Oct 1932 (5/4).
