Scope and Content

The Globe was published by the University Geographical Society. It was originally a cheaply-produced publication, but from its fourth issue adopted better production values. The first editor was W.H. Barker and it contained a range of articles, especially on political and human geography. It was originally issued several times a year, but by the 1970s and 1980s, it appeared irregularly every 3 to 5 years.
