Transcription of the lecture Windsor gave to open the new academic year at the Pine Street Medical School in 1830. He specifically addresses the younger students who are just beginning their medical education and in particular talks of what they should already have an understanding of, what will be useful, specific areas of medicine, and how medical education has broadened over the years. There is no pagination and the writing is largely on the recto only.
