Samuel Crawshaw obtained the MRCS diploma in 1883, and took a MB ChB from Victoria University in 1891. He practised at Ashton-under-Lyne, and from 1915-1920 he was honorary physician at Ashton infirmary. Crawshaw was active in local branches of the BMA.
